Election Day has always held special significance at Junior’s Restaurants. We opened on Election Day in 1950 and each election day since is marked with celebration for not only our anniversary but also for a celebration of civic and community engagement. Politicians from all parties, from the Presidents and Mayor to Judges and Council members, have been dining with us regularly since we opened. Junior’s is the quintessential neighborhood restaurant—a place where an authentic mix of people from New York gather to break bread for the last 70 years. As our 70th anniversary on this Election Day approaches, we have created special ways for our loyal patrons to celebrate with us. Online we are offering $7 savings on full price cakes for 7 days to honor 70 years in Brooklyn. This year, we honor the importance of the upcoming election by creating our fabulous cheesecake with the important message that represents every American’s most important democratic right to “VOTE.” Visit our Brooklyn restaurant to purchase a special, limited edition “VOTE” cheesecake or cupcake with a portion of the proceeds to benefit our neighbor, The Brooklyn Hospital Foundation.
